Get those pillowcases and pumpkin buckets ready! The most adorable and family-friendly Halloween event in town is almost here. The Lafayette Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Trick or Treat Street, and it's all happening tomorrow, Friday, October 24, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM!

This is one of my favorite local traditions—a fun, safe, and free way for our youngest community members (it's recommended for kids 9 and under) to celebrate Halloween in broad daylight.

Here are the essential details for a spooktacular evening:

  • Where to Go: The "street" covers all of downtown! You can trick-or-treat along Mt. Diablo Blvd. (from Lafayette Plaza to Dewing Ave), around Lafayette Circle, and throughout La Fiesta Square.

  • How it Works: Just show up in costume! There’s no official start or end point, so you can hop in anywhere. Dozens of local businesses will be handing out treats. Just look for the official "Trick-or-Treat Poster" displayed in the window of participating merchants.

  • What to Bring: A costume (of course!) and a bag to hold all that candy.

What makes this event so special is seeing our entire community come together. It's a fantastic way to support the local businesses that make Lafayette so unique. You'll see friendly faces handing out treats at shops like Five Little Monkeys, Lafayette Scoop, the Lafayette Library, Zoonie’s Candy, and so many more.

Pro-Tip: The event wraps up right at 6:00 PM, which is the perfect time to stay in town for dinner and make a full evening of it.

Hope to see you all out there tomorrow!
